Icy roadways caused treacherous conditions Monday morning. Members of Platoon 1 responded just before 8 AM to a motor vehicle accident on Smith Ave. Engine 2 and Squad A were dispatched and notified of possible entrapment in the vehicle. Upon arrival of Engine 2, it was determined two people were trapped in the vehicle. Both companies put their hydraulic tools to work to free the victims who were then transported by American Ambulance.
