Members of Platoon 2 responded to a possible structure fire on N. Cliff Street this evening, January 12. Engine 2 arrived first due and reported smoke showing from the attic space of the structure. Battalion 1 arrived and transmitted the working fire as E2 was reporting a fire on the 2nd floor. Engine 3 arrived to stretch a handline to the fire while the crew of Truck 1 vented the structure. Squad A assisted with water supply and overhaul. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. The Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause. Along with the Norwich Fire Department, the Mohegan Tribal FAST team responded as well as American REHAB.
