    Posted On: Dec 23, 2017

Retired Norwich Fire Department LT. Doug Smith faithfully served the citizens of Norwich for 30 years and is now in need of our support.

LT. Smith was recently diagnosed with liver and colon cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. His friends, Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company Inc., and fellow Norwich firefighters have organized a benefit pasta supper in his honor on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Canterbury, CT town hall. See the Facebook Funds for Hope link for more information.

Starting Tuesday, December 26, 2017 tickets for the benefit pasta dinner will be available for purchase at the City of Norwich Fire Department Headquarters located at 10 North Thames St. Norwich, CT. Tickets are $10 for an adult and $5 for children 12 years old and younger.

Raffle items, monetary donations, and dinner tickets can also be dropped off and purchased at the Canterbury Volunteer Fire Department - PO Box 293 - Canterbury, CT 06331 - c/o Doug Smith
